Consider this when selecting a Webmaster:
There are three basic things to consider when engaging a webmaster to construct your website - the person or persons should be skilled in: Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), website design and he or she should have an understanding of web-marketing (that is understanding marketing in terms of how to construct the website in order for it to be successfully marketed when completed). All three elements are important. The website should look good, it should download easily, the search engines should find it and, of course, potential clients should find it and then spend time on it and, hopefully, contact you.
A Website can be a powerful marketing tool!
A correctly constructed (and, of course, correctly marketed website) is a powerful tool. Your website can be quietly and methodically bringing in clients while you are busy with other work. This, of course, is only possible if your website is Search Engine optimised and properly marketed on the web. Web marketing is becoming more and more complex - so much so that it now often calls for specialised web marketers. Trying to do your own marketing requires a great deal of time and for the average entrepreneur this is frustrating because it is not his core business.
